Lisbon: Portugal’s famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the highest-paid athlete of 2024.
Foreign magazine released the list of 50 highest-paid athletes in 2024. According to the list, Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed all other players by earning 260 million dollars in 12 months.
The Portuguese star became the world’s highest-paid athlete for the second time in a row. In one year, he earned 20 crores from football grand and 60 crores from off-field advertising and others. Ronaldo received 200 million dollars as a result of the agreement with Saudi club Al-Nasr.
According to the report, for the first time, each of the top 10 highest-paid athletes in the world earned more than $100 million a year. In second place there is a golfer Johan Rahm. Who managed to earn 218 million dollars in one year.
The third number was in the name of Argentine footballer Lionel Messi, whose annual income was 135 million dollars. 4th and 5th place went to basketball players Lee Bourne James and Giannis Ati Tukonampu. Which managed to earn 12.8 million dollars and 11.1 million dollars respectively.
French young footballer Kylian Mbappe managed to earn 11 crores. He is at number six in the list.

Surprisingly, no cricketer or tennis player made it to the list of 50 highest-paid athletes in the world this year.
