Washington: The United States says that there is no certainty of genocide in Gaza.
White House National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said in a media briefing that the US does not believe that genocide is taking place in Gaza, but Israel should take more measures to protect Palestinian citizens.
The American adviser further said that the responsibility for peace rests with Hamas. US President Joe Biden wants the defeat of Hamas, but he feels the suffering of the Palestinians. Joe Biden believes that the operation in Rafah must be linked to the strategic end game. The US will protect Israel from being embroiled in a never-ending counter-insurgency campaign.
