Islamabad: In the matter of the election of Chairman PAC, differences have emerged within the opposition over the name of Sher Afzal Marwat.
Asad Qaiser, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Junaid Akbar, Zain Qureshi started lobbying for the chairmanship of PAC, senior party leaders opposed making Sher Afzal Marwat the chairman of PAC.
Sources say that the members have opined that one of the senior members of the party should be given the chairmanship of this important committee, but due to differences, the opposition has not yet given any name to the speaker in writing.
Sources say that the opposition has not contacted the government on this matter, none of the opposition members can become the chairman of PAC without the support of the government.
