Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will resume the duties of the PML-N chairmanship, while a proposal has been made to make PML-N leader Saad Rafiq the secretary general of the party.
According to the sources, the proposal of the Secretary General will be presented in the meeting of the General Council of Muslim League-N, the final decision in this regard can also be taken in the meeting of the General Council.
Sources say that the general council meeting of PML-N will be held on May 11 in Lahore. Nawaz Sharif will be made the president of PML-N in the general council meeting.
According to sources, Ahsan Iqbal had asked the party leadership to leave the post of Secretary General even during the PDM government.
In this regard, Ahsan Iqbal said that the party leadership was asked to leave the post a year ago, due to the busyness of the ministry, the party post cannot be run properly.
