New Zealand announced the squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup 2024.
The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced the 15-member squad for the World Cup under the captaincy of Kane Williamson. The Kiwi team includes Finn Allen, Trent Boult, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry and Daryl Mitchell.
Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Richan Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, Ash Sodhi, Tim Southee in the New Zealand cricket team squad will also appear in the ICC World Cup.
Captains Michael Bracewell and Mark Chapman from New Zealand’s young team, which recently performed well in the T20 series against Pakistan, have also been given a chance in the World Cup.
On the other hand, Adam Millan is out of the squad due to ankle surgery while Kyle Jamieson is out of the squad due to rehab from a back injury. New Zealand have included Ben Sears as a traveling reserve for the World Cup.
It should be noted that the ICCT Twenty World Cup is going to start from June 1, 2024 in America and West Indies. In this regard, various players have been tested by the national team in the series against New Zealand.
