In the match being played at Pindi Cricket Stadium, New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell won the toss and decided to bowl first.
The Green Shirts have a one-nil lead in the five-match T20I series.
Pakistan has included Abbas Afridi in the team in place of fast bowler Mohammad Amir in the third T20 match.
New Zealand players Josh Clarkson and Ben Lister both missed the field due to illness.
Substitutes have been added to New Zealand in place of both the visiting players. Zach Foulkes and William O’Rourke played their debut match today.
In the second T20, Pakistan defeated West Indies by 7 wickets while the first match was inconclusive due to rain.
After today’s match, both the teams will leave Rawalpindi for Lahore where the remaining two matches of the series will be played.
