Washington: The United States has imposed sanctions on 4 companies for supplying equipment for Pakistan’s missile program.
Sanctions were imposed on 3 Chinese and one Belarusian company for supplying equipment for Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the US State Department, Matthew Miller, it is said that 3 Chinese and one Belarusian company have provided assistance to Pakistan in the production of ballistic missiles, including long-range missiles.
According to the spokesperson, these companies have cooperated in providing materials for the proliferation or delivery of weapons of mass destruction to Pakistan, thereby assisting Pakistan in its efforts to develop, acquire and transport nuclear weapons. These companies have contributed to Pakistan’s long-range missile program, including its ballistic missiles.
The statement added that the United States is committed to strengthening the system to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction networks with its other partners.
