Peshawar: 21 people died and 85 people were injured in the accidents that occurred due to heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last three days.
PDMA issued a report on the loss of life and property in the province due to heavy rains during the last three days.
According to the report, 4 children and a woman were among the dead, while the injured included women, men and children. Due to heavy rain, life and financial accidents took place in different districts of Dir Upper, Chitral Lower, Swat, Malakand and Bajaur.
A total of 85 houses were damaged due to the collapse of walls and roofs in different districts, in which 15 houses were completely damaged and 70 houses were partially damaged.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directed the concerned district administration to provide immediate assistance to the affected family and provide the best medical facilities to the injured. PDMA has provided relief materials to the victims of the affected districts.
Due to continuous heavy rains, the rivers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are in low level flood. There is a risk of high level flood in the next 24 hours at Kabul River and Nowshera, the administration has been informed about the flood earlier.
According to the meteorological department, there is a possibility of more rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 18 to 20, today there is strong sunshine and the weather will remain dry during the next 24 hours.
