ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet approved the establishment of an inquiry commission on the letter of the judges of the Islamabad High Court.
The Federal Cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in which various issues were discussed. The meeting was held on Zoom with most of the ministers participating online.
In the meeting, six judges of the Islamabad High Court approved setting up a commission of inquiry to investigate the letter based on the allegations of pressure by the ISI. The names for the head of the commission are being considered, the head of the inquiry commission will also be appointed soon.
The Basham incident was also discussed in the meeting. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that those responsible for the Bisham incident will be punished, and has instructed the inquiry committee to investigate and submit a report within three days.
