Lahore: The indictment proceedings against former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and other accused in the case of illegal recruitment could not be completed even today.
When the anti-corruption court in Lahore heard the case of illegal recruitment in the Punjab Assembly, the jail authorities did not present Parvez Elahi. The court did not indict the accused as the number of accused was not complete.
Tahir, Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, while presenting the medical report of Parvez Elahi, said that he had fallen in the washroom on March 17 due to which he had suffered a minor fracture.
Judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta of Anti-Corruption Court adjourned further hearing of the case till April 4 and said that let’s make this report of yours a part of the decision. The court summoned the accused for the next hearing for the indictment proceedings.
It should be noted that the anti-corruption establishment has registered a case against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and others.
