ISLAMABAD: The inaugural session of the National Assembly is being held today in which the newly elected members will take oath today, security has been tightened on the roads leading to the Parliament House.
According to the agenda of the opening session, recitation of Holy Quran, Hamad Wasna and National Anthem will be read at the beginning of the opening session.
Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will administer oath to the newly elected members and after the oath the newly elected members will sign the roll of members.
PML-N nominated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senator Ishaq Dar, Noor Alam Khan and other members reached the Parliament House.
Security has been tightened on the roads leading to the Parliament House. Serena Chowk, Nadra Chowk and D Chowk are closed for entering the red zone while Margalla Road is open for entering the red zone.
A heavy contingent of police and FC is deployed on the roads leading to the red zone, after thorough checking of the vehicles, entry into the red zone is being allowed.
