Islamabad: Adiala Jail administration refused to transfer Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi to jail.
In the Islamabad High Court, a hearing was held on the petition of PTI founder Bushra Bibi’s transfer to Adiala Jail. The jail administration refused to transfer Bushra Bibi to jail.
Superintendent Adiala Jail submitted his report to the court. The report states that due to security reasons, Bushra Bibi cannot be transferred to jail. The jail is already short of space and has 250 female inmates.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad has not submitted his reply in this regard. The public prosecutor pleaded for time to reply which the court granted and adjourned the hearing for 2 weeks. Bushra Bibi, convicted in the Tosha Khana case, has approached the Islamabad High Court for transfer from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail, which has been declared a sub-jail.
