Toronto: Canadian police have arrested three Indian nationals in the murder case of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nagar.
According to a foreign news agency, Superintendent of Police Mandeep Mokar said in a press conference that in the case of the murder of Khalistan Movement leader Hardeep Singh Nagar, the three suspects have been charged with murder and attempted murder.
The accused were identified as 22-year-old Kiran Brar, 22-year-old Kamal Preet Singh and 28-year-old Kiran Preet Singh, who are residents of Edmonton, Alberta.
He had also changed his dress to hide his identity. The accused had come to Canada from India three to five years ago.
The Canadian police have also started an investigation against the accused for their relationship with the Modi government, while several foreign security agencies in the US are also cooperating in the investigation of this incident.
According to the police, in the light of the investigation of the accused, the arrests of more accused involved in the murder of Najar will be carried out soon.
It should be noted that 45-year-old Hardeep Singh Nagar was shot dead in Vancouver, Canada in June 2023. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had accused India of involvement in the murder, after which relations between the two countries became strained.
