Srinagar: The Indian Army extrajudicially killed 2 Kashmiri youths after arresting them during a search operation in Occupied Kashmir.
According to the international news agency, the Indian army in Kathua district of Occupied Kashmir violated the sanctity of the chador and four walls in the name of house-to-house search by laying siege to a village.
The Indian Army claimed that the militants lobbed a grenade at the team arriving for the search operation, which resulted in an exchange of fire and two militants were killed in the encounter, whose identification is in progress.
Earlier, unknown gunmen opened fire on security forces personnel in Kathua area, as a result of which one Central Reserve Police Force officer was seriously injured.
The injured officer was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased officer has been identified as Kabir Das.
It was after this incident that the Indian Army conducted a search operation in Kathua and extrajudicially killed two youths.
It should be noted that armed men attacked a joint check post of Indian security forces in Doda district as a result of which 6 personnel were injured, out of which 3 are in critical condition.
