Harare: By scoring 13 runs on one ball, India made a unique record in the match against Zimbabwe.
Indian batsman Yashaswi Jaiswal created history by scoring 12 runs off the first ball of the innings during the fifth and final T20 match against Zimbabwe in Harare on Sunday.
When Zimbabwe decided to bowl first in the match, Sikandar Raza came to bowl the first over from the host team, he made a high full toss of the first ball on which Indian batsman Yashaswi Jaiswal hit a comfortable six over the deep square leg.
The umpire declared this ball a no-ball and thus India got 7 runs without a ball and also got a free hit.
On Sikandar Raza’s next ball, Jaiswal once again hit the second six in a row and drove the ball over the boundary.
Thus, India scored 13 runs on the first ball of the match only and Jaiswal became the first cricketer to score 12 runs on the first legal ball in cricket.
