Lahore: The first meeting of the Punjab Assembly was convened yesterday after the general elections in the country.
A summary was sent to the Governor of Punjab to convene a meeting of the Punjab Assembly. The Punjab Assembly meeting will be held tomorrow at 10 am. Newly elected assembly members will take oath in the meeting. Speaker will administer oath to Punjab Assembly members.
After the swearing in of the newly elected members, the Speaker will schedule the election of the new Speaker and Deputy Speaker. After the finalization of the papers, the selection will be held at a gap of one day. After the Speaker and Deputy Speaker are elected, the newly elected Speaker will issue the schedule for the election of the Chief Minister.
