Lapur: The Punjab Home Department imposed Section 144 across the province and banned public gatherings, rallies, sit-ins and protests.
Section 144 was imposed across the province for 3 days, the ban will be applied from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July.
According to the Home Department, Section 144 was imposed to maintain law and order, protect human lives and property, the ban was imposed in view of the threat of terrorism.
Given the security risks, any public gathering can be a soft target for terrorists.
The administration across Punjab will ensure the implementation of the order, mass publicity of the implementation of Section 144 has been directed for public awareness.
