Warsaw: A Polish coin maker has created the world’s first glow-in-the-dark and flying coin for use in Cameroon. Made by the Mint of Poland, this coin is made of 198 grams of silver.
Named MP-1766, the coin has a hidden motor that creates a magnetic field along a specially designed base that causes the coin to float in the air.
According to the institute’s director of technical and production planning, Lukas Karda, the coin’s shine is due to a bright paint that has been hardened by exposure to ultraviolet light.
This magnificent coin, commissioned by the Bank of Cameroon, has a denomination of 1766 Cameroonian francs ($2.90). But according to the Mint of Poland, its real value is higher than the stated value.
Lukas Karda said that the institution does not have the authority to mint coins as only the central bank has the authority to issue currency.
He said that this coin is the result of the hard work of experts belonging to the institution, who have put their creative ideas into practice.
It should be noted that Mint of Poland is the only private company in the world that produces currency coins.
