National cricket team’s young opener Saeem Ayub rejected the label of ‘superstar’ given by wicket-keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan.
In an interview given to Cricinfo, young opener Saeem Ayub said that the failures in the tour of New Zealand and Bangladesh Premier League taught me a lot, I need to improve my game a lot.
He said, “I am not sad about the failures in the initial stages but happy so that I can come back to the team as a better cricketer. Now I know what standard I have to reach.”
Saim Ayub said that the main goal is to play Test cricket, which can improve my skills.
Earlier, during the Bangladesh Premier League, Mohammad Rizwan had said regarding the young opener that “leagues always help young players, we believe that Saeem Ayub is the next superstar of Pakistan”.
It should be noted that Saeem Ayub’s performance for Durdanto Dhaka was less than expected. He could score 77 runs at an average of 15.40 in just 5 matches.
