In the second match of the ninth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 16 runs.
In the second match of the tournament played at Gaddafi Stadium, the Gladiators team scored 206 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In pursuit of the target, Peshawar Zalmi scored 190 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Zalmi captain Babar Azam was the top scorer with 68 runs, Saim Ayub 42 runs. Apart from this, no batsman could score any significant runs.
Abrar Ahmed of Quetta Gladiators took 2 wickets, Mohammad Amir, Aqeel Hussain, Mohammad Wasim got one wicket each.
In the first innings, the Quetta Gladiators opening pair provided a brilliant start of 157 runs.
Saud Shakeel played an innings of 74 runs off 47 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes while Jason Roy was dismissed with 75 runs.

On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Salman Irshad took 3 wickets while Luke Wood and Mohammad Zeeshan took one wicket each.
