President Asif Ali Zardari has given a message to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
President Asif Ali Zardari, while giving a message to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day, March 23, 2024, has said that I express my best wishes and heartiest congratulations to all of you.
He said that we are commemorating the approval of the historic resolution of Pakistan. When on March 23, 1940, the foundation of the construction of our free nation and an independent country was laid. Today, let us reflect on our past journey, celebrate our achievements, let us reaffirm our resolve for a prosperous and united Pakistan. A look at the pages of history reminds us of the vision and determination of our forefathers.
The President said that the Pakistan Resolution of 1940 is an important turning point in our history. The resolution paved the way for the establishment of Pakistan on 14 August 1947. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his associates worked tirelessly to make the dream of Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal a reality.
He said that our armed forces, civil administration, police and law enforcement agencies have ensured the safety, security and sovereignty of our nation with unwavering determination. Their triumphant role in the two-decade-long war against terrorism, quick response to the call of duty during natural calamities, and our role in peacekeeping missions around the world are outstanding expressions of our unwavering commitment to global peace and peaceful coexistence. .
Asif Zardari said that he also acknowledges the unparalleled sacrifices made by the Kashmiri brothers during the Pakistan movement and in the ongoing struggle for the freedom of the illegal Indian-dominated Jammu and Kashmir. The people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are facing the worst repression and state-sponsored terrorism at the hands of the occupying Indian forces. Unilateral abrogation of Article 370 and 35A influenced by Hindutva agenda is an example of this. According to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, the solution of this conflict is the guarantee of sustainable peace in South Asia.
The President said that Pakistan is committed to providing all kinds of moral and diplomatic support to the oppressed Kashmiri people till the provision of their right to self-determination. Pakistan is deeply concerned about the indiscriminate killing of innocent Palestinians by the Israeli Defense Forces, continuous attacks on educational institutions and hospitals.
Asif Zardari said that Pakistan is sticking to its principled stand for the establishment of an independent, sustainable and contiguous Palestinian state with its capital in Al-Quds Sharif according to the pre-1967 borders. Let us today reaffirm our commitment to democracy, justice and equality in the spirit of Pakistan Day.
He said that I appeal to all of you to actively participate in the process of building the country by adopting the values of hard work, honesty and compassion. We will overcome obstacles unitedly and move towards a better and brighter future for our beloved Pakistan. May Allah bless the Islamic Republic of Pakistan!
