KARACHI: PIA management has taken a big decision before the privatization of the airline, when the spare parts of the planes will be sold.
Additional spare parts of aircraft of various categories worth crores of rupees with the national airline will be sold.
Boeing 737 among the aircraft parts sold. A tender has been issued for the sale of spare parts of Boeing 707, Fokker and Cessna aircraft, spare parts of which were in PIA’s store for many years.
As per PIA administration, call for offers for sale of old aircraft parts on as-is-where-is basis.
