Vancouva: Pakistani short film ‘Jaman Ka Dhram’ won the award for the best film on human rights at the Vancouva International Movie Awards.
This is the third global award the film has bagged, having recently won the ‘Best Social Justice Short Film’ category at the Cannes Film Festival.
The director of the film, Rafi Rashidi, while giving good news to the fans on Instagram, said that it is an honor for the film to receive the third international award.
The story of the film, which is based on husband-wife relationship and domestic violence, is written by B Gill, while the film is produced by Faisal Kapadia.
The trailer of ‘Jaman Ke Dhram’ was released last month in January, revealing that the story of the short film covers themes of male-female relationship, harassment, sexual assault and lust.
The film features Adnan Siddiqui in the negative role of Kareem, a prominent person in the showbiz industry. The cast of the film also includes Adnan Siddiqui, Maha Tahrani and Fauzia Aman.
