PESHAWAR: The meeting of the Apex Committee chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended, in which the participants agreed to most of the demands of Bannu Aman Jirga.
According to the sources, the apex committee meeting chaired by Ali Amin Gandapur was attended by Corps Commander Peshawar, Chief Secretary and IG Police besides members of Bannu Jirga. Important decisions were taken in the Apex Committee meeting.
The participants of the Apex Committee meeting have agreed to most of the demands of Banu Aman Jirga.
Later, the announcement of the joint meeting of the Apex Committee held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was issued.
According to the declaration, terrorists are condemnable in every form and action will be taken against them indiscriminately. The Chief Minister issued orders to the police to take full legal action against the armed non-governmental person. The offices, base or checking of any non-governmental armed group is illegal and the police will take indiscriminate action against them across the province.
In the joint declaration of the meeting of the Apex Committee, it has been further stated that the military organizations related to the operation have made it clear that no operation is taking place in the province. Police and CTD will take action against terrorist elements locally. Due to the nature, geography and proximity to the borders of some areas, assistance will be sought from Pakistan forces.
According to the statement, the police have been instructed to patrol regularly and all the time. More personnel and vehicles will be provided to the police throughout the province and especially in the southern districts. Also, southern districts will be given priority in creating new posts.
