Paris: Negotiations are ongoing in Paris, the capital of France, for a cease-fire in Gaza and the release of Israeli prisoners.
According to the report of the news agency Reuters, the sources related to the matter said that negotiations are ongoing in Paris for the ceasefire in Gaza, the release of Israeli and foreign detainees, and this is a very serious effort.
Regarding the negotiations, the sources said on the condition of not revealing the name and nationality that Qatar, Egypt and the United States are having separate negotiations with the head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad.
He said that there have been positive indications for progress towards serious negotiations and on the other hand, Egypt’s Al-Qaira TV News has also reported that negotiations have started.
Earlier, Israeli officials said that an Israeli delegation led by David Barnia, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency, had arrived in Paris to begin negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza.
It should be noted that during the cease-fire in late November 2023, more than 100 of the Israelis detained by Hamas were released, and in response, Israel freed 240 Palestinians.
