Abu Dhabi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first temple built in the United Arab Emirates at a cost of 95 million dollars for which 27 acres of land was gifted by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
According to the world news agency, the Indian Prime Minister inaugurated the first temple of the United Arab Emirates in the presence of the Emirati Minister of Tolerance and thousands of Hindus in Abu Dhabi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates ended with the inauguration of this temple. In which many major trade agreements were also concluded between the two countries.
It should be noted that this is the first temple for the 3.5 million Hindus in the United Arab Emirates. The traditional stones were carved from India and brought to Abu Dhabi. The foundation stone of this temple was laid in 2019 by a Hindu leader.
The length of the temple is 262 feet, width 180 feet and height 108 feet while it has 410 pillars, 12 pyramidal peaks, 2 domes. The temple is constructed in such a way that it will not be affected by a magnitude 7 earthquake.
It should be remembered that recently Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Ram Mandir in place of the Babri Masjid in India and now also inaugurated the first temple in the United Arab Emirates, which is being called as an election campaign for this year’s elections.
