New Delhi: Thousands of farmers who came to Delhi to protest against the anti-farmer policies of the Modi government from all over India rejected the government’s proposals and announced to continue the protest.
According to Indian media, the farmers’ leaders have refused to delay the protest until the demands are approved, saying that the protest will start again from tomorrow.
The Modi government had faked talks to stop the farmers arriving in Delhi from across the country from protesting and put forward their old proposals which were rejected by the farmers’ leaders.
Farmer leader Saron Singh Pandhar told the media that the government presented a 5-year plan for the minimum price of rice, cotton and three different pulses, which is not acceptable to us.
Saron Singh Pandhar said that the government used delaying tactics in the name of talks to weaken our morale and resolve but we will not fall for any trick of Modi government.
