Lahore: A strategy was formed to arrest the May 9 advertisers who were elected as members of the assembly in the general elections 2024.
Actions are being accelerated to bring wanted advertisers to justice in May 9 cases. 22 advertising executives involved in the cases and 282 workers are still wanted.
The successful candidates of the recent election, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Ali Amin Gandapur, Imtiaz Sheikh are wanted by the Lahore Police in the May 9 incidents. He was declared an advertisement by the court.
According to JIT sources, geofencing, mobile tracking and IP address tracking were used to determine the links of advertisers. Arrest of advertisers who get seats in elections will be as per law.
The accused were in constant contact with the workers during the election campaign and results. The help of FIA and other agencies is being sought to trace the location of the advertisers.
