Washington: King Abdullah II of Jordan and US President Joe Biden have called on the Israeli army not to carry out air strikes before the safe evacuation of Palestinians in Rafah.
According to the World News Agency, King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Washington to meet with the US President and discussed the current situation in Gaza, especially Israel’s major military operation in Rafah.
The two leaders agreed that Israel should not implement its plans for airstrikes and ground attacks until the Palestinian refugees from Rafah are moved to safety.
The two leaders also called for a ceasefire in the ongoing war in Gaza since October 7 and stressed the need for a sustainable solution acceptable to the parties for peace and stability in Palestine.
Before leaving for the United States, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Custodian of Al-Aqsa Mosque reviewed the delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza and described the situation as dire.
After the US, King Jordan will also visit other Western countries, where he will try to focus global attention on the obstacles to aid activities in Gaza and the ceasefire.
It should be remembered that a day ago US President Joe Biden had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and emphasized that Israel plans to launch a military operation in Rafah to protect and support the more than one million Palestinians who have taken refuge there. Don’t start without making sure.
The number of Palestinians martyred in Israel’s bombing in Gaza since October 7 has reached more than 28,000, while 67,000 are injured. Half of the martyred and injured are women and children.
