New York: Supreme Court judge Justice Athar Minullah has said that he wants the courts to be open whenever there is a threat of martial law.
He said this while addressing the “New York City Bar” in the American city of New York.
He said that an atmosphere of martial law is being created. I do not want to name the TV channel which has created such an environment as if martial law is going to be imposed.
Justice Athar said that I wish the courts were open on October 12, 1999 when Pervez Musharraf threw out the elected prime minister, I wish these courts were open on July 5 when Zia ul Haq removed the elected prime minister.
He said that if an attempt was made to remove former Prime Minister Imran Khan in an unconstitutional manner, this would also be a test and this would be the test of the Islamabad High Court whether it would stand for the supremacy of the Constitution or not.
