Mumbai: Senior Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah says that Bollywood movies have disappointed him a lot due to their useless storylines, which is why he has stopped watching Bollywood movies.
According to Indian media Naseeruddin Shah said that it is really disappointing that we are proud to say that Hindi cinema is 100 years old but our filmmakers are still making the same 100 year old films and that is why I I have stopped watching Bollywood movies because I don’t like them at all.
Naseeruddin Shah said that Indians living abroad go to the cinema to watch Bollywood films because these films remind them of their home and country, but very soon the Indians will also get tired of such films.
The senior actor said that it is the responsibility of “serious filmmakers” to show the reality of society and I think Bollywood will only survive if we stop seeing it as a means of making money, but it is too late now. Chucky, now there is no solution because our filmmakers just want to make money no matter how useless the story of the film is.
He added that those who want to make serious films, it is their responsibility to show the reality of today but not to offend anyone’s religion in their films.
