Makkah: Millions of worshipers performed the first taraweeh of Ramadan at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid Nabawi (peace be upon him).
Today is the first fast in Saudi Arabia. At the beginning of Ramadan, millions of people offered Taraweeh prayers in the Haramin Sharif last night. The first taraweeh was performed in Masjid Qiblatin and Masjid Quba.
Five public transport points have been established in Masjid al-Haram for pilgrims coming from outside Makkah. This year too, daily train services will be run to Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah during Ramadan. King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman has congratulated all citizens of the kingdom and Muslims around the world on Ramadan.
