KARACHI: HBL PSL franchise owners have reiterated their demand for a separate company.
Mohsin Naqvi has now started focusing on PCB after leaving political affairs, yesterday he invited PSL franchise owners to lunch in Islamabad, on this occasion 4 teams Multan Sultans, Islamabad United, The owners of Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators were present.
Owners of Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings could not come due to foreign engagements, Salman Naseer, Naila Bhatti and others also participated on behalf of PCB.
According to the participants, the meeting was very positive and the team owners seemed very impressed with the board’s vision, reiterating their long-standing demand for permanent ownership rights.
It should be noted that the term of the existing franchises will be completed after the tenth edition next year, however, they will be able to retain their rights by paying an increased amount according to the market value.
The chairman said to the owners that he will hold another meeting soon in which there will be a detailed discussion in this regard, the franchisees also asked about forming a separate company of HBLPSL, in which Mohsin Naqvi replied that he himself wanted to. There has been further improvement in the affairs of the league, will also discuss it, he said that he came to the PCB only a few days ago, now he is reviewing the affairs, in some time there will be a significant difference.
Regarding the sale of tickets, he said that he does not agree with the perception of the crowd not coming to Karachi, but will talk to the government to save the fans from trouble during security checks etc.
