The management of CBR Town, along with esteemed members of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA), convened today for the momentous foundation laying ceremony of the Community Club at B Block, CBR Town Phase 1, Islamabad. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of residents and stakeholders alike.
Malik Imran, in his address, commended the exemplary leadership of CBR management under the guidance of Altaf Ahmed Bhat, while also presenting constructive suggestions for further enhancements within the society.
Atta ul Haq, Finance Secretary of the Residents Welfare Association, extended gratitude towards President Altaf Ahmed Bhat, acknowledging his visionary leadership which has transformed CBR Town into a model community, surpassing neighboring societies. Highlighting various achievements such as improved security measures, enhanced infrastructure including water supply, well-maintained roads, underground electricity, extensive greenery, and educational advancements, Atta ul Haq emphasized the significant impact of these developments on the residents’ quality of life. He also underscored the collaborative effort with Al Khidmat Foundation, particularly praising the Al Khidmat Raazi Hospital, a pivotal asset benefiting not only CBR Town but also surrounding areas.
Expressing appreciation for President Altaf Ahmed Bhat’s proactive approach, the President of the RWA conveyed confidence in his leadership and thanked him for the allocation of funds towards the development of B Block Park and the initiation of the Community Club project. Additionally, he advocated for the resolution of pending issues such as the completion of residential buildings, installation of street lights, establishment of underground water reservoirs, acquisition of additional land for communal purposes, and the renovation of the B Block park.
Taking the podium, Altaf Ahmed Bhat expressed gratitude to all attendees and welcomed the suggestions put forth. He reiterated CBR Town’s status as a paragon of modern living, boasting essential amenities including parks, mosques, well-designed streets, efficient lighting systems, water filtration facilities, expansive green spaces, and the Al Khidmat Raazi Hospital, which serves as a beacon of healthcare excellence for residents across Zone 5.
Altaf Ahmed Bhat also noted the rapid development underway in the Executive Block and encouraged members to take a proactive stance against misinformation and propaganda. He announced plans for the construction of a bridge specifically for the Executive Block, signaling further advancements in infrastructure to support the evolving needs of its residents.
Furthermore, Bhat assured residents of ongoing efforts to address their concerns, including the potential merger with Faisal Town for the benefit of all members awaiting plot allocations.
Altaf Ahmed Bhat also mentioned that some elements are trying to interfere in the merger process for personal gains, but they will fail and eventually with the consent of members of the society merger will proceed.
It is to inform that amalgamation of non-developed and scattered land of CBR Town Phase-II with Faisal Town was put in Agenda of AGM after signing of agreement subject to consent of members in AGM and later approval from Cooperative department ICT. Moreover, the amalgamation of Semi-developed Blocks of CBR Town phase (||) with Faisal was put in Agenda of AGM as a proposal for just discussion and it’s clarified that no agreement has been signed for Amalgamation of Semi-Developed Blocks with Faisal Town. Therefore management Committee of CBRECHS wants to make it clear that no decisions for any amalgamation will be taken without prior Approval of esteemed members and Registrar Cooperative department. Furthermore, esteemed members should not be misled by false and concocted propaganda spread in different Social media groups.
He emphasized that the merger is crucial for the benefit of members who have long awaited possession of their plots, ensuring that their investments yield significant returns. Bhat highlighted the superior development and reputation of Faisal Town, noting that its presence has significantly elevated land values in the vicinity. With neighboring societies like Faisal Town and Taj Residencia experiencing exponential growth, the acquisition of expensive land has become increasingly challenging for CBR Town, a cooperative housing society. The merger not only presents an opportunity to enhance infrastructure and amenities but also mitigates the constraints posed by limited land availability. Bhat assured residents that despite potential challenges, the merger remains a strategic move aimed at securing a prosperous future for all members.
Bhat also reassured attendees including residents and members of Residents Welfare Association that the merger with Faisal Town is proceeding with the full consent of the society members. He added that the management is transparent and forthcoming regarding the merger process.
He affirmed that the agreement will be made public soon on official CBR Town Website, allowing all residents to review and verify its contents for their peace of mind. This transparency, Bhat emphasized, aims to dispel any confusion or controversy surrounding the merger, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and confident in the decisions being made.
Bhat also addressed the upcoming elections of CBR Town, emphasizing that regardless of whether he remains in the management or not, his commitment to the society and its members will endure unwaveringly.
Bhat also affirmed his commitment to continuing charity work and supporting CBR Town in his personal capacity, regardless of his role in the management. He pledged to uphold ongoing philanthropic endeavors, ensuring that the community’s welfare remains a priority beyond his official responsibilities.
