Islamabad: FBR has revealed a revenue shortfall of 41 billion in 2 months of this year.
During the first two months of this year (January, February), FBR has revealed a total revenue shortfall of 41 billion rupees.
However, the shortfall of January and February has been met due to the fact that tax collections during the first half (July to December) of the current financial year 2023-24 are more than the target.
During the first eight months of the financial year (July to February), the volume of tax collections has exceeded 5829 billion rupees, which is 30% more than the previous financial year 2022-23.
In February, FBR has collected Rs 681 billion in taxes against the fixed target of Rs 714 billion and faced a revenue shortfall of Rs 33 billion. Earlier, there was a revenue shortfall of 8 billion rupees during January.
