Washington: The United States has said that there is a need for a full investigation into the claims of rigging in the general elections in Pakistan.
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in a media briefing that Pakistan’s legal system would be the first and correct step to investigate allegations of electoral fraud. This action should be taken and if necessary, further investigation should be conducted.
The spokesman further said that he wants to see a full investigation into the allegations of rigging in the election and will continue to review it.
