California: Technology company Apple has introduced iOS 17.4 version for iPhone users.
The latest update introduced by the company introduces 118 new emojis along with significant changes to iMessage’s security and podcast app.
These emojis include lime, phoenix, mushroom, broken metal chain, two shaking heads and others. The new emojis also feature more than 100 different colored individuals, some carrying canes and others in wheelchairs.
The 118 new emojis to be added have been released by Unicode (the central bank of all approved emojis).
On the other hand, several other changes have been introduced in view of this new update of the EU’s Digital Marketing Act (DMA).
Under this law, Apple must allow other developers to create and launch apps on the App Store for iPhone devices.
After the update, payments on payment services other than Apple Pay and Apple Wallet will be allowed on the iPhone. However, the changes made under the Digital Marketing Act will only be available to European users.
