Portugal has released a coin bearing the image of its star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo as a tribute.
According to foreign media, Portugal, the home country of Cristiano Ronaldo, issued a 7 euro coin with his image to honor the nation’s greatest player.
The coin is named Euro 7 to reflect Ronaldo’s shirt number seven with CR7 embossed on it along with Ronaldo’s image, the coin will be accepted as currency across the country.
It should be noted that throughout his career, 39-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved numerous successes for his country and various clubs, including leading Portugal to a historic victory in Euro 2016 and lifting the UEFA Nations League trophy with A Selecao in 2019.
Apart from this, Cristiano Ronaldo recently became the first footballer in the world to score 900 goals in his professional career.
Ronaldo scored 131 goals while playing for Portugal, the most international goals by any player.
