ISLAMABAD: The controversy surrounding veteran Pakistani actor and writer Syed Mohammad Ahmed continues to grow as actress Zainab Raja has also spoken out about her experience working with actor Fahad Sheikh, alleging that his behavior on set often made fellow artists uncomfortable.
In a comment shared on social media, Zainab Raja recalled working with Fahad Sheikh in a television drama, claiming that he frequently made jokes or engaged in actions that crossed professional boundaries and created an uneasy atmosphere for colleagues.
She stated that what was often presented as humor left others feeling uncomfortable, adding that maintaining respect and professionalism on a film set is essential.
Commenting on the recent controversy involving Syed Mohammad Ahmed, Zainab Raja expressed disappointment over the treatment of the senior actor. She said it was deeply unfortunate and disrespectful that a veteran artist of his stature could be subjected to such behavior.
According to the actress, she could not imagine anyone treating a person of her parents’ age in such a manner, particularly someone widely respected for his humility, professionalism, and courteous nature.
The issue gained national attention after Syed Mohammad Ahmed revealed during a recent podcast that a younger lead actor had repeatedly mocked his appearance, baldness, and acting skills during a drama shoot. Although he did not identify the actor by name, speculation intensified on social media after an alleged behind-the-scenes video surfaced online.
Following his remarks, several prominent figures from Pakistan’s entertainment industry, including Syed Jibran, Faisal Qureshi, Shamoon Abbasi, Umair Rana, and others, publicly expressed solidarity with the veteran actor and called on the junior actor allegedly involved to issue a public apology.
