A British newspaper has called the assassination of Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, a bigger national loss than Khamenei’s.
According to the report, the newspaper wrote that Ali Larijani was an influential political figure not only in Iran but also globally and had influence in many countries including Russia and China.
According to the newspaper, Larijani’s death is a major blow to Iran and is being described as the biggest loss since the death of Qassem Soleimani in the past.
The report also included an interview with Elie Giran May, an expert at the European Council on International Relations, in which he said that Netanyahu is trying to limit the path to a ceasefire and possible negotiations with Iran.
According to the expert, Ali Larijani was a leader who could have played an important role in a ceasefire and a diplomatic solution, so his death is being seen as a turning point.
