Saim Ayub, who suffered an injury on the first day of the second Test match against South Africa before the ICC Champions Trophy, has been out of international cricket for 6 weeks.
In the match being played in Cape Town yesterday, he tried to chase the ball at the short third man boundary, during which the national team opener Saim suffered an injury due to twisting his right ankle near the boundary line.
A statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that the opener’s MRI reports have confirmed a fracture, due to which he has been away from international cricket for 6 weeks.
Saim Ayub has been out of the second Test match against South Africa, but he will remain with the team and will return home with the squad after the match.
It should be noted that the opener has been immediately ruled out of the second Test match due to injury, while he was immediately shifted to the hospital and underwent a scan, the report of which was revealed today.
