PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has collected revenue of Rs 14.8 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal year, which is 40 percent higher than the first four months of the previous fiscal year.
According to the spokesperson Capra, the authority had collected revenue of 10.58 billion rupees in the first four months of the last financial year, which confirms a 40 increase in revenue during the current fiscal year. In total, in comparison to the first four months of the previous financial year, during the first four months of the current financial year, Capra’s income has increased by 4.26 billion rupees.
In the first four months of the current financial year, 11.25 billion rupees have been collected in the form of Sales Tax on Services and 3.59 billion rupees in the form of Infrastructure Development Cess. In the first four months of the last financial year, CAPRA collected Rs 9.3 billion as Sales Tax on Services and Rs 1.28 billion as Infrastructure Development Cess.
This shows that during the current financial year, sales tax on services has increased by 21 percent while infrastructure development cess has increased by 180 percent.
Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority Fauzia Iqbal appreciated the excellent performance of Capra officers and said that if we continue to work with the same enthusiasm, at the end of June we will not only achieve the target given for the current financial year. Rather, they will collect more than the given target.
