Islamabad: Nepra has proposed fixed charges up to Rs.1,000 for domestic electricity consumers from July 1.
According to the sources, Nepra sent the proposals to the federal government which will take the final decision in this regard, the proposed fixed charges are included in the average basic electricity tariff of Rs. Has been sent.
Fixed charges will be Rs 200 for consumption of 301 to 400 units per month and Rs 400 for consumption of 401 to 500 units per month.
Similarly, there will be fixed charges of Rs 600 for usage of 501 to 600 units per month, Rs 800 for usage of 601 to 700 units per month and Rs 1000 for usage above 700 units per month.
All the fixed charges are part of the basic electricity tariff, the final decision of the basic electricity tariff will be after the request of the federal government.
It should be noted that earlier fixed charges were not included in the tariff for domestic customers.
