Lahore: Former cricketer and Lahore Qalandars head coach Aqib Javed’s journey with the franchise has ended.
According to the Lahore Qalandars management, this journey of Aqib Javed ended after taking charge of Pakistan Cricket. Aqib Javed achieved success as Qalandar’s Director of Cricket Operations and Head Coach for 8 years. Under the coaching of Aqib Javed, the team played 3 PSL finals between 2020 and 2023, winning 2 consecutive titles.
According to the management of Lahore Qalandars, Aqib Javed’s relationship with Lahore Qalandars has been very important and he has played an important role in advancing the vision of Lahore Qalandars and the franchise’s flagship Players Development Program (PDP).
Aqib Javed says that my time with Qalandars has been an unforgettable journey filled with memorable moments and milestones. The player development program which has been close to my heart has been extremely rewarding to see the young talent develop and emerge. It has been a proud experience to contribute to the success of the franchise on and off the field. After 8 wonderful years, I feel it’s time to take on a new challenge with the national team.
