Multan: Pakistan Women defeated South Africa in the second T20 cricket match.
Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team defeated South Africa Women by 13 runs. Batting first, Pakistan Women set South Africa Women a target of 182 runs to win.
Chasing the target, South Africa scored 168 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. On behalf of Pakistan Women, wicketkeeper-batsman Muniba Ali scored 45 runs, captain Fatima Sana scored an unbeaten 37 runs. Nida Dar scored 29 runs while Sudara Amin scored 28 runs.
On behalf of South Africa, Toomi Sekhu took 2 wickets, Sean Lewis and Anri Dirksen took one wicket each. The visiting team scored 168 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
On behalf of South Africa, Sean Lewis scored an unbeaten 53, captain Laura Woolwardt scored 36 runs and Cholly Terion scored an unbeaten 30 runs. On behalf of Pakistan Women, Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sindhu took 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
On the other hand, Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana was injured in the second innings. He was immediately shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment.
It should be noted that after Pakistan’s victory, the 3-match series was tied at 1-1. South Africa won the first match of the series by 10 runs.
