In the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, China defeated Pakistan in the semi-final on penalty shoot-out to reach the final.
The first semi-final of the Hockey Champions Trophy was played today between Pakistan and the hosts China. In the second quarter of the game, Lu Yuanlin from China scored a goal to give his team the lead.
In the next quarter of the match, Pakistan’s Ahmed Nadeem leveled the match. The contest was evenly matched until the end, after which the decision was decided in a penalty shootout, in which China advanced to the final.
It should be noted that earlier in the round match, Pakistan defeated China 1-5. The second semi-final of the tournament will be played between India and South Korea.
