Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket.
Announcing his retirement on a social media platform, Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan said that it is a relief to quit cricket that the desire to play for the country has been fulfilled. He also thanked the Board of India (BCCI) in his message.
It should be noted that 38-year-old Shikhar Dhawan has played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20 matches.
In his social media post, Shikhar Dhawan said that I am not sorry that I will not be able to play for India anymore, the reason for my happiness is that I have played for my country, that is my It is a big deal.
He said that where I am today, if I look into the past, there are only memories and if I look into the future, there is the whole world. I always had one passion to play for India and my wish came true. He thanked his coaches, family, team and Indian board.
