Lahore High Court judge Justice Abid Aziz took oath as Acting Chief Justice.
The oath taking ceremony was held in Lahore High Court. Justice Shahid Karim administered the oath of office to Justice Abid Aziz. Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza, Rasal Hasan Syed and Justice Muzamil Akhtar Shabbir also participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Justice Shahbaz Rizvi and Advocate General Punjab Khalid Ishaq, Vice Chairman Punjab Bar Council Babar Waheed, Lahore Bar President Munir Ahmed Bhatti and Lahore High Court Bar President Asad Manzoorbutt were also present in the ceremony. Chief Justice Lahore Alia Neelam is on a foreign tour till August 25.
