The Islamabad High Court has suspended the notification of success of League candidate Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Anjum Aqeel and IPP candidate Raja Khurram Nawaz.
The High Court heard the intra-court appeals of Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari and others against the election results of Islamabad constituencies.
The petitioner PTI independent candidate Shoaib Shaheen argued that till 12 o’clock in the night of the election, 380 forms 45 had come to me. In the account, I barely reached the returning officer and said if there is a mistake then correct it, the returning officer told me in hushed words to leave here or else I will be kicked out, there is a signature of the returning officer on the form 45, election results. After two Form 47s were issued, Usman Ashraf was the RO of Constituency NA-47.
After hearing all the petitions, the High Court suspended the notification of the success of PML-N’s Anjum Aqeel from NA-46, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry from NA-47 and IPP’s Raja Khurram Nawaz from NA-48.
