Raiwand: The MQM delegation met the leader of Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in which they discussed government formation.
The delegation of United Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan reached Raiwand.
A delegation of MQM leaders headed by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui met Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz Sharif and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
In the political session, consultations were held on other important issues including new government formation, future political strategy. The inside story of the meeting between Muslim League-N and Muttahida Qaumi Movement came out.
According to the sources, MQM placed the list of demands in front of Nawaz Sharif and asked for governorship of Sindh in case of formation of PML-G government while also demanding to be kept on board in federal development projects in Karachi.
Nawaz Sharif responded positively to MQM’s terms and supported playing a conciliatory role between MQM and PPP.
Nawaz Sharif instructed Shahbaz Sharif that Shahbaz Sharif should play a conciliatory role between his PPP and MQM.
